So What's The Deal with Carnival Anyway?????

I love Carnival. And I tell everyone how much I love it. But inevitably someone always ask me what is the deal with Carnival in T&T anyway? .... So u you know I have to tell everyone what the deal is...

God has to be a trini.... because Trinidad and Tobago is one of the most beautiful countries on the planet. People, places, beaches, and culture is unlike anything I have ever seen. This is one of the few carribean countries that is never hit with hurricanes and other sever tropical storms. Trinidad is not the most developed country as far as infrustrucure but it is almost like being home. I mean it has all the conforts of home with a tropical backdrop. And Carnival is the absolutely the best time to explore this country. During this time, the entire country lets it's hair down and celebrate love, life and soca music. (for great socal music check of the Soca mixes by DJ Private Ryan, the Post Carnival Depression 2010 mix is super hot!!!!!!!!!!)

These people really know how to party!!! I have a friend named Abby from Trinidad and when we used to party in college I used to wonder why she could party so hard and I could not even keep up. Its because this woman had training from the womb!. They invented the term "party hard" and live everyday by this creed. I mean I have never see a country full of people really get down and party all night long. Young and old alike. Trinis will drink you under the table let me tell u, they serious with it.

Carnival in Trinidad should be a topic all by itself. Carnival Monday and Tuesday on the road was one of the most liberating times of my life. The coustume the freedom and music. I was loving every minute of it. I was hella tired by the end of Tuesday but it was totally worth it. There is nothing greater that chippin down de road (walking to the beat of the music) with ur friends, drinking, dancing, and winin' (a sexually sugestive dance using hip movements that make the hula look tame) on a man.

Let me stop.... I'm talking about my favorite topic I can go on for days.....
